Several Eco-School members helped Mr. Thomas Bohlmann, a parent member of Eco-Committee, build the first of three compost bins for QSID. It is located by the wall separating World Languages and primary, in the garden bed. If you’re curious, come check it out! The compost bins, once full and decomposing, will provide great soil enrichment for our gardens here at school. This project falls under the eco-school theme of waste. Having compost bins allows us to reduce the waste we send out in addition to creating something new and useful that will help our campus. The kids had a great time working on the bins, and we still have two more to complete next year! |
