Every day, because of the kindness of people like you, Cancer Council ACT continues to unite the community, provide support and invest in life-saving research — to give cancer patients the best chance of survival. By making a donation, you are helping children like Rylee, who was only 16 months old when she was diagnosed with brain cancer. She has had every treatment available to her, and not all of them were kind, and she now has partial paralysis. Then there is Erin, who at 13 weeks pregnant with her second child, was diagnosed and treated for triple negative breast cancer. Sadly, there are too many people who have been affected by cancer in our community, and chances are you have been impacted by cancer in some way too – either directly, or indirectly. Your donation today will help us support those affected by cancer in our local community. ENRICHing Survivorship — a free exercise and nutrition program for cancer survivors coming to Canberra We are very pleased to share that Cancer Council ACT has been successful in its Healthy Canberra Grants application to bring ENRICHing Survivorship, an exciting cancer survivorship program, to Canberra. ENRICHing Survivorship will be supported by the ACT Government under the ACT Health Promotion Grants Program. Relay For Life — That's a wrap! As we wrap up another year of our much-loved Relay For Life, we’d like to extend an ENORMOUS thank you to everyone who participated in Relay Your Way — whether it was through a team, a donation or lighting a candle in our virtual candlelight ceremony! The event was a little bit different again this year, due to uncertainties around the pandemic, taking the form of Relay Your Way. However, this didn’t stop our wonderful community from helping us keep the Relay spirit alive! We held a virtual candlelight ceremony to help Remember, Celebrate and Fight Back against cancer. It was inspiring to see our Canberra community come together (apart) and we are grateful to everyone who donated to our Candles for Hope page which was specifically created for this virtual ceremony.
