Yosemite Conservancy Provides $14 Million to Yosemite National Park in 2020
“Yosemite inspires daily and in difficult times,” said Yosemite Conservancy President Frank Dean. “It feels more important than ever for the Conservancy to support improvements all around the park, to preserve its natural and cultural wonders, and to offer ways for people to connect with Yosemite in person and from afar.” As we near the end of 2020, it’s not too late to make a difference and join us to provide for the park you love. Read our recent press release for a look at some of the good work your support makes possible this year.

For Director of Volunteer Programs, A Year of Surprises
After years of living and working in Yosemite, Emily Brosk became our director of volunteer programs in early 2020. It’s safe to say she had no idea what this year had in store, and over the past several months, Emily has “worn a hundred hats.” In this guest blog post, Emily reflects on the surprises, trials and successes of the 2020 season, and shares her deep gratitude for Conservancy volunteers.

Native American Heritage Month
In October 2020, NPS staff and a CHIPS (Calaveras Healthy Impact Product Solutions) crew planted native flowers in Ahwahnee Meadow to revive habitat for monarch butterflies and other pollinators as part of one of the Conservancy’s 2020 donor-supported restoration projects. Most of the CHIPS crew members are Native American and we're humbled by and grateful for their collaboration. Like and follow the Conservancy on social media for more on #NativeAmericanHeritageMonth!
