Each year for Women’s History Month, we honor women who have made significant contributions to society throughout history. Celebrating women in science is an integral part of this special month. From Marie Curie to Mae Jemison, women have made groundbreaking scientific discoveries and advancements that have transformed our lives. We have inspiring women scientists right here in our Penn State community. Please join me in celebrating the successes and scientific contributions of these women—not only this month, but all year round.

We're proud to announce — as part of our ongoing efforts to foster an equitable and inclusive environment here at Eberly — the introduction of pronouns in our online directory.
Dean Tracy Langkilde was among the first to add hers, and we hope many more will follow!

Black in STEM aims to shine a light on individuals’ experiences, their accomplishments, and their motivations for pursuing careers in science.
These stories are being compiled on a rolling basis as part of ongoing efforts at Eberly to promote diversity, foster inclusivity, and increase representation of those in our community who have historically been underrepresented.

Four juniors as Goldwater Scholarship nominees

Penn State recently announced its four candidates for the 2021 Goldwater Scholarship, a highly competitive national award given to undergraduates in the fields of natural science, engineering and mathematics who are interested in a career in research.
