Splash Zone to officially open on November 17

Splash Zone at the Gladstone Aquatic Centre in Tank Street will open on November 17.

The grand opening will be held from 10am to 2pm with lots of activities for children and families. Splash Zone will be officially opened by Mayor Gail Sellers at 11am.

SUNfest 2014 youth holiday program available to view

The SUNfest 2014 youth holiday program has been released with plenty of activities for students aged 10 to 17.

Copies of the program are available at all Council administration centres, Rural Transaction Centres, the Gladstone Art Gallery & Museum, selected facilities and via Council's website.

Bridge remedial works may cause traffic disruptions

Stage one remedial works have started on Auckland Creek Bridge, Blain Drive, Gladstone with motorists advised of possible traffic disruptions while works occur. Youth survey offers an iPad mini prize for participation

Council is conducting a Youth Survey to gain feedback from youth (12 to 24 year olds) who live work or study in the Gladstone Region.

The information gained from this survey will help Council develop long-term strategies that support youth and address identified issues youth may be encountering.

Youth who complete this survey will automatically go into a draw to win an iPad mini.
