Summer Program - Maggie's Place

Summer Corps members join an existing team of AmeriCorps at one of our five Maggie's Place homes, helping to manage the day-to-day operations of the home and supporting Maggie's Place moms and babies.

Commitment Dates: June 2nd to July 25th.

Dietrich School Student Ambassador Opportunity

We are taking applications through March 1 for the Dietrich School Student Ambassador position for the 2025-2026 school year. We are looking for involved, dedicated students with declared majors in the Dietrich School. Dietrich School Ambassadors share their holistic academic, professional, and personal Dietrich School experiences with prospective and admitted students and families to support undergraduate recruitment efforts. Dietrich School Ambassadors give weekly personalized campus tours and information sessions, serve as panelists at prospective and admitted student programs, and may meet with prospective families one-on-one. The ambassadors work up to 10 hours a week (most average 6-8 hours) while working our information sessions and tours on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, with occasional OAFA events on select Saturdays. Starting pay is $11/hr, and we promote from within for leadership roles on the team after students have served for a year.

POST-GRADUATE OPPORTUNITIES


Full-time Research Assistant, Yale University School of Medicine

Full-time postgraduate research assistant positions are open starting Spring-Summer 2025 to help coordinate and implement ongoing studies at the Yale Stress Center focused on stress, emotions, and addiction, with an emphasis on NIH-NIDA and NIAAA-funded studies testing the efficacy of pharmacologic treatments to reduce alcohol and substance use outcomes, using various cutting edge web-based and smartphone-based data collection tools as well as human experimental and neuroimaging procedures to identify biobehavioral markers of treatment response. There are three primary responsibilities for the position: (1) Study coordination and oversight, including but not limited to administering research assessments, overseeing recruitment, retention, and tracking of study participants, and supervising and training post-graduate assistants; (2) Data collection, including self-report, interview, behavioral, biological, diagnostic and/or fMRI, and assessments at substance use treatment centers and public locations in the greater New Haven area, (3) Data entry, management, and analysis. The qualified candidate will have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an accredited college specializing in psychology (or a related field) or any combination of subsequent education and experience. Experience/skills in consenting and administering assessments with research participants, working with clinical populations and individuals from diverse backgrounds, communicating effectively both orally and in writing, and working in a team setting is preferred.
