Services Spotlight: Industrial Services

Heritage Vacuum Truck Services

Can you believe those NFL replacement referees in Monday night's game? Neither can we, so that's why we thought it would be a great opportunity to tell you about our Industrial Service Capabilities. Yeah we know those two things are totally unrelated, but seriously, those refs were brutal!  Guess that just proves that it's always better to have the experts take care of the important stuff. Anyway...we digress. Back to the matter at hand.

This month we continue our "Spotlight Series" in which we will profile our Industrial Service offerings to educate you about the various services we can provide. Specifically, we will look at our Vac Truck Services. (Having trouble viewing this email? View it in your browser).

Vacuum trucks and high-velocity air vacuum trucks handle liquid, solid and sludge removal needs. Wet vacuum trucks are designed for the removal of liquids, such as acids, caustics, oil and water as well as some light sludge. These trucks range in capacity from 3,000 to 5,000 gallons.

High-velocity air vacuum trucks have a blower system for additional vacuum loading and unloading. These trucks are designed to remove both wet and dry materials, including flammable liquids, paint sludges, oily sludges, powders and other hard-to-remove materials. These trucks can be connected to vacuum boxes for heavy sludges/solids management.

Get With The Program: Sustainable Business Practices

Measuring your carbon footprint

When you hear the word “sustainability” what do you think?  Most people think “green” or “protecting our earth.”  On a personal level though, it comes down how these thoughts are turned into the actions we take at home, at play, and at work.  Do you shut off the lights when you leave a room? Do you pay attention to lawn watering bans in the summertime?  Are you both recycling and looking for ways to reduce?

Teach Your Kids (and yourself) About Recycling

4 Cool Recycling Posters

We've created these nifty posters that illustrate the recycling process for paper, plastic, aluminum and glass.  Each poster measures 12" x 36" so these can be printed off and hung up around the office or home.  If you've already got a recycling program in place at your office (or home), why not place them on the wall beside your recycling containers? And if you've got kids this might be an fun and easy way to teach them about recycling!

Safety Tips on the Fly

Put on your PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)!

Eyes are extremely delicate. Eyesight can be permanently impaired or even completely lost if flying chips of steel or fragments of concrete strike your eyes. When cutting concrete, wear goggles or a face shield. When drilling overhead or when dust is present, suitable goggles are required. When drilling or cutting pressure-treated or preserved lumber, creosote timbers or any lumber, always wear eye protection. If glasses are worn with corrective lenses, goggles may be needed to be worn over glasses for additional protection from damage or breakage.
