First School-Wide Melaveh Malkah Inspires Students to Dream Big

Saralah Bresler, 12th grade student

This past Motzei Shabbat, Derech Emunah hosted its first school-wide Melave Malka of the year in commemoration of the yartzeit of Harav Nosson Tzvi Finkel, zt'l, former Rosh Yeshiva of the Mir Yeshiva.

Madricha Shira Devora Steinberg organized the event, a task that included everything from arranging the program to ensuring there was ample pizza for all of the girls.

To introduce the program, Rabbi Tanenbaum, a student of Rav Nosson Tzvi's and current Rav of Congregation BCMH, spoke about his Rebbe's life and values

The highlight of the evening was a video biography on Rav Finkel's life. One message that I took away from the video was: do not be afraid to dream big, because, with Hashem's help, you can accomplish almost anything.
