NSC Student Organization Open House - Jan. 29 This is a reminder that the NSC Student Organization Open House will be held at 2 - 5 p.m. on Monday Jan. 29 from in the NSC atrium. **UPDATED** An updated policy regarding the newly announced grant proposal submission rules have been made available by Susan Morris. This policy refers specifically to the rules in relation to COS faculty and differ from the policy announcement from Dr. Klonoff which was included in last week's eUpdate. Volunteer with BFSA and Nicholson at Second Harvest Food Bank - Mar. 2 In partnership with the Black Faculty and Staff Association, the Nicholson School of Communication will be volunteering at Second Harvest food bank on Friday, Mar. 2. Communication Educators Wanted for Automation Engineering Bootcamp Wyncode, an EdTech startup based in Miami, is seeking assistance from communication professionals to run its automation engineering bootcamp next month in Orlando. The course includes a four- to five-day communication and reporting unit, and details on the learning outcomes can be found by clicking below. Judges Needed for Seminole County Regional Science, Math and Engineering Fair This year's Seminole County Regional Science, Math, & Engineering Fair is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 3, 2018, at the Seminole Towne Center Mall in Sanford. The fair needs about 250 judges on from 8 a.m. - 3 p.m., to provide a quality judging experience for all the students. To sign up to judge, please visit http://scps.zfairs.com. If asked, choose the regional (not state) fair, then click the Register button at the top of the screen, and finally click Judge and enter your information. If you have any questions, please contact Seminole County Regional Science, Math, & Engineering Fair Director, Rachel Novella. New Late Add Request Process Effective immediately, late add requests will be processed using a PeopleSoft eForm. Faculty members will continue to approve or deny the petitions. Going forward, faculty will receive an email with the subject line "[eForms] Worklist Item," instead of an email from Academic Services. Please click on the link in the email to respond to the request. If you have questions regarding the late add process, please email Academic Services at acadserv@ucf.edu. Presidents Leadership Council - Jan. 31 It is time to select members of the President's Leadership Council (PLC) for 2018-19. Council members serve as official student ambassadors at special events both on and off campus. In addition, PLC members receive a stipend for each semester of service. Applicants should have completed 60 credit hours or more by the end of the spring semester in which they apply, should have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above, and should be full-time students during the fall and spring semesters following selection. An information session will take place from 1 - 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 31, at the Student Union, Key West Ballroom A. Please clue your students in on the great opportunity.
