The NSW Women Lawyers Achievement Awards recognise and celebrate the achievements of outstanding women lawyers, mentors and firms that have achieved excellence in their area of practice and helped create opportunities for women in the law. The NSW Women Lawyers’ Achievement Awards 2021 will be held at the Sheraton Grand Sydney Hyde Park at 7pm on Friday 3 September. Sexual Harassment Bystander Intervention Training Webinar 6-7.30pm 3 May 2021
In conjunction with Women Lawyers Association of NSW, NSW Young Lawyers is holding a sexual harassment bystander intervention training session for our members. In the context of reports of sexual harassment in legal workplaces, the training will provide practical guidance on: - how to identify sexual harassment;
- how to be an active bystander and intervene if you witness sexual harassment;
- the benefits of bystander action for the bystander, survivor, perpetrator; and
- culture of the
workplace and profession.
The training will also cover complaint options for law students and lawyers who wish to report sexual harassment. Speakers:
