Careers Service Updates

Dundee Plus

The Dundee Plus Award is a great way of boosting your CV and getting recognition for activities you do outside your academic life eg part-time work, volunteering, student representation and participation in societies and sports clubs.

All successful applicants will receive the Dundee Plus Award and their application considered as a potential prize winner.

"Completing the Dundee Plus Award taught me to place due value on the parts of my life that are non-academic. This has allowed me to see myself, and sell myself, as a well-rounded potential employee – not just a student! It’s great for anyone who wants to look at their life from an outside perspective." Rebecca Baird, Dundee Plus Award Winner 2016/17

Graduation Stories (16 & 17 Nov)

large image

Winter graduation is fast approaching and we’re looking for graduation stories once again. Of course all our graduating students are interesting, but some are of more interest to the press, or on social media. Others are great examples to allow us to promote our courses to the next generation.

Do you know, or are you a graduating student who:

• has got a great job or scholarship

• did a particularly newsworthy or interesting dissertation or project

• is graduating despite particular adversity or unusual circumstances

• fits the "mum & daughter graduating on same day" type story

• is travelling to Dundee for the first time, having studied a distance learning course?

Don't be shy - please contact internal-comms@dundee.ac.uk in the first instance with details, we love to share in your successes.

Athena SWAN Annual Lecture - Unlimited By Gender. Disadvantage can work both ways (Mon 27 Nov)
