Discover Committee for Wyndham’s January News

Welcome back to a new year with Committee for Wyndham and what a strong start it has been.

January set the tone with our "Wyndham Connect" event featuring Jess Wilson MP, Leader of the Opposition, and Moira Deeming MP, Member for the Western Metropolitan Region. It was a timely reminder of the impact that leadership, community and meaningful conversation can have in shaping the future of our region.

Momentum is clearly building across Wyndham. This year is about more than business as usual,  it’s about opportunity, collaboration and growth.

Looking ahead to 2026 and the upcoming State Election, there is a critical opportunity for Wyndham’s business community to engage, be heard and help influence the policies, investment and infrastructure that will shape our region’s future. Committee for Wyndham will continue to play an active role in ensuring a strong, united business voice.

The year ahead will bring more events, connections and opportunities to engage with leaders at every level. I encourage you to get involved and be part of the conversations shaping Wyndham’s future.

I look forward to seeing many of you throughout the year as we work together to make 2026 a year of impact, progress and possibility.

Warm Regards

Leanne - CEO

Committee for Wyndham Members in Conversation with State Opposition Leader

Committee for Wyndham recently brought members together for a high-impact, members-only event featuring Jess Wilson MP, Leader of the Opposition, and Moira Deeming MP, Member for the Western Metropolitan Region. The conversation focused on what matters most to our region,  business confidence, growth and Wyndham’s future.

Members had the opportunity to engage directly with senior political leaders, ask questions and share perspectives on the priorities shaping our local economy. Events like this reinforce the value of connection, access and advocacy for our business community.

Thank you to Werribee Football Club and Chirnsides by the River for providing a fantastic setting for the event.

A United Voice for Avalon

In December, regional leaders from Wyndham and Greater Geelong united to advocate for targeted investment in Avalon Airport and its surrounding Employment Precinct ahead of the 2026 Victorian Election. This collaboration demonstrates the strength of a shared voice in driving outcomes that support long-term regional growth.

With the right investment in infrastructure and connectivity, Avalon has the potential to deliver significant jobs, trade and economic benefits. Committee for Wyndham is proud to work alongside regional partners to ensure strong, consistent advocacy that supports our business community and the future prosperity of our region.
