IT'S HOW WE ROLL...

When you start to do the things that you truly love, it wouldn’t matter whether it is Monday or Friday; you would be so excited to wake up
each morning to work on your passions.

NEWS FROM THE GREEN...

Bowl-A-Thon master!

Date: 25 April
Nicely done Kevin Morris, on your recent Bowl-A-Thon fundraising effort.

Two days of competing in a bowls event over the Anzac weekend wasn't enough for Kevin.  He followed the comp with a day of fundraising for his club Pt Chevalier Pirates.  He bowled 10 hours straight, with just 5-minute breaks each hour!  Kevin played 280 ends - 1,120 bowls - with 87 touchers.  Bedraggled by the end of his mammoth effort, yet happy he raised $324!

It's a big shout-out to everyone who helped sponsor and raise funds to get the Men's Interclub 7s team to Christchurch!

Bayleys Anzac Day Cup

Date: 24-25 April
The team at Auckland Bowling Club was full of smiles following the success of their Bayleys Real Estate sponsored Anzac Cup over the weekend.  All 30 teams competing over the two days were eager to get wins under their belts and to advance through to post section play with a chance of taking home the main event prize.

As we know sponsors are integral to events, so too are the staff and volunteers who all work together to make any event a success.  We hear the club already has teams signed up for next year's event!
