Metro Screen is right behind crowdfunding campaigns for projects that we support with funding, equipment subsidies, mentoring and promotion. Nearly $40,000 has already been pledged to projects on the Australian crowdfunding platform Pozible. You can fund creative projects and help Metro Screen supported short films, multiplatform and digital media projects to meet their full potential. Watch this space. Directing Documentary 21 August

Throughout the course you will cover the history of documentary making, various techniques and styling, how to gain access to subjects and materials, effective pitching, dealing with finance and finally where to go and what to do with a finished film.

Sound Design and Editing 25 August

This program explores the art of screen sound design and introduces the practical skills required to record sound. Participants design a complete soundscape for an existing film excerpt and complete practical exercises recording sound in a variety of locations, whilst troubleshooting common problems.

Submit a 3 minute video pitch for your idea. Grab a phone, an iPod or your mate’s camera and sell us your dream transmedia project, TV or feature film concept. Metro Screen can take you all the way to the international red carpet. Dreams can become careers with the funding and support to make it happen. Work it! The Dream Accelerator program is presented by Metro Screen in association with the Screen Producers Association of Australia (SPAA) and is open to NSW residents only. Juliana's Story

Juliana's Story is a short film produced and directed by Metro Screen part-time Certificate IV in Screen and Media and Multiplatform Producing graduate, Angelique Papadelias. The film recently won an Award of Excellence for Best Original Score from the LA Movie Awards 2012. It is due to premiere this month at the World Independent Music And Film Festival in Washington DC.
