Greetings!

Today is a big day at Lucky Paper HQ. After over a year of tireless work by Jett and Anthony, we're excited to bring you our latest Magic related data visualization project, the Commander Map!. This map features over 1.2 million decklists from EDHREC, all rendered in 2D space with similar decks in closer proximity.

Ever since we built the Cube Map, we've wondered if something similar might be possible for Commander decks. Truthfully, we initially thought it would be exceedigly computationally intensive to generate and much too expansive to render smoothly in a browser. Thanks to a momunmental effort by Jett and Anthony that is truly difficult to overstate, we're so excited to finally put this out into the world.

If you want to know more about the map we have tons of resources at your fingertips. You can read Jett's article introducing the map, take a deep dive on the math underpinning both the Commander and Cube maps, or listen to a bonus episode of Lucky Paper Radio where the three of us discuss the map in detail.

We can't wait to see what people discover!

Andy
