Gauley… BIGGER?!?

Bigger, and faster, too. The Gauley River, one of the world's Top 10 whitewater rafting rivers, will get more water this year than ever before.

Hit the rapids while they're roaring. The water will be pounding over the riverbed on select days in September and October, with a few days of never-before-seen water releases. Grab a paddle and hop aboard; we may never see a Gauley Season as wild as this one again.

Fall Foliage

Our claim to fame, the lush, rolling hills of The Mountain State, are set ablaze with the vibrant colors of fall. We have some of the most beautiful showcases of fall foliage you'll ever see. The greens are just starting to fade, and by mid-October, Southern WV will be in an uproar of fiery hues.

Catch the contrast of the warm colors and the cool river blues from above the New River Gorge with a Bridge Walk. Or, peer up at the colorful canopies on a hike or mountain bike. You can even fly right through the treetops on a zipline tour as the colors blend into a wild blur around you.

Come on down before the leaves start crisping and the water levels settle for the season!
