Mundaring Arts Centre will come alive with school children’s artworks this month for the Mundaring Environmental Art project 2018. This annual environmental art project provides an opportunity for primary school children in the Shire of Mundaring to engage with local and global environmental issues and promote a positive message about the importance of protecting the planet.

Nest Gallery - Basket Weaving Workshop

Mundaring Bicentennial Scholarship Trust Schools Concert

Eastern Hills Senior High School will play host to some of the best musical talent from Eastern Hills SHS, Guildford Grammar School and Swan View SHS. 

This event is raising funds for the Robert Juniper Award for the Arts.

Sassafras - set to entertain at Mundaring Weir Hotel

John Forrest National Park - Eagle View Walk
This 15.5 km circuit walk around John Forrest National Park offers great views across the Swan Coastal Plain to Perth city and the ocean in the distance. The trail is a bushwalker’s delight, covering a variety of relatively pristine habitats, passing beautiful waterfalls. Walk commences at 9am. Cost is $5 (payable on the walking day). Mundaring Folk 'N' Blues Club

On the third Friday of every month, the Mundaring Folk 'n' Blues Club presents a wide variety of music, nominally in the "folk and blues" genre, but there is a wide variety of music, played LIVE. Entry $10 (sometimes higher for special acts).

The Sports Club run a bar and there is often a home cooked meal.

Talk on Watheroo's Magnetic Observatory at Mundaring Museum

Mundaring Geophysical Observatory was established in Mundaring in 1959 following the closure of WA’s first terrestrial observatory at Watheroo, near Moora. Originally set up in 1919 by the Carnegie Institution of Washington, the observatory was considered the best-equipped observatory in the Southern Hemisphere.

Spooky Stories Night at KSP Writers Centre

The KSP Writers’ Centre in Greenmount is the perfect place for a winter Spooky Stories Night. The heritage-listed property is rumoured to be haunted by the ghosts of its former owners, Katharine Susannah Prichard, author, and Hugo Throssell VC, Gallipoli hero, who both passed away on the site. This popular annual event puts the ‘fun’ in fundraiser with marshmallow-roasting around the campfire, costume contest and face-painting, as well as the announcement of KSP’s 2018 Ghost Story Competition winners and readings of the winning stories. Mundaring District Museum - Earth Watch Exhibition

Earth Watch: Mundaring's Geophysical Observatory
, tells the story of one of WA's more interesting scientific sites. From 1959 until 2000 Mundaring's Geophysical Observatory played a significant role in gathering and disseminating magnetic, seismic, and ionospheric data for use in scientific research, as well as for every-day and commercial purposes.
