No images? Click here Dear Members and Colleagues We hope this finds you well and coping with the latest impacts of the pandemic. We are past the winter solstice in the lead up to the 2021 EOFY and warmer months ahead! Unfortunately, our Wollongong Christmas in July Dinner scheduled for 8 July has been the latest COVID casualty, and we will reschedule as soon as practicable. We were fortunate to host The Janet Coombs Lunch for New Female Barristers with the Women Barristers Forum on 23 June, and Unravelling Access to Aged Care event in Newcastle 22 June. Both were well-attended with great feedback, and you can view some photos from the events in our Photo Gallery. We have hosted some fabulous events online and in-person thanks to the generous hosting by some of our corporate members, and have many more upcoming, and in the planning. Our 2021 series of Welcome to the Law commences 1st July with a panel discussion on Alternative pathways to law. This 4-part seminar series is focused to law students and newly admitted solicitors (0-4 PAE), and is available online, with some sessions also being offered in-person. At just $15 a seminar and $50 for the series, it’s invaluable experience with some fabulous hands-on tips. Our 2022YE Membership opened on 1 May, so you can join or renew your membership at any time to 30 June 2022. If you have any queries, please contact our office at executive@womenlawyersnsw.org.au. We will be attending to renewals for those members that have opted in for recurring membership shortly, so please advise if your card details have changed. Please ensure you are following our social media platforms where we have been posting a number of articles, events and webinars, that may be of interest. Stay safe, stay well, and we hope to see you soon – online or in-person!
