New Fast Track
Foundation Studies Program

In last month's newsletter we mentioned a new intake for the Foundation Studies Program. Here are some additional selling points that you can relay to your clients:

  • Fast-track to a university degree by finishing FSP at the end of Semester 1, 2018, in time to enter the choosen univesity degree in semestr 2, 2018.
  • FSP TIS Sholarship will still be available for eligible students who commence FSP in October 2017 - but they need to hurry, it will not be available from 2018!
  • Lower Fees - by starting FSP in October 2017 students will be able to take advantage of 2018 degree fees rather than 2019 rates.

Fully accredited IT degrees!

We can now report that our Bachelor of Information and Communication Technology (BICT) and Master of Information Technology and Systems (MITS) degrees are accredited at the professional level with the Australian Computer Society (ACS).

Course Changes for 2018
A New State of Mind!

There have been a number of changes in our selection of course options at the undergraduate level over the past month. The University has been working hard on reviewing and updating our curriculum and from 2018 there will be a new suite of four year integrated honour bachelor degrees. These degrees incorporate a final honours year, with a choice of research, professional, clinical or applied honours depending on course selection and gives the student a chance to personalise their educational experience.

NEW Master of Business
Administration (International)

A brand new MBA degree has been introduced for 2018, replacing the Master of Business Administration (Specialisation) and Master of International Business (Specialisation). With new specialisations in Entrepreneurship, Finance and Business Research, updated curriculum and opportunities for study tours, internships or work integrated learning, this is sure to appeal to many who wish to expand their management experience and skills.

NEW name for Bachelor
of Environmental Design

One of the many changes that have happened with the the curiculum reveiw was a name change for our Bachelor of Environmental Design. For students looking to study Architecture and Interior design they can now look for the course named Bachelor of Architecture and Built Environments. The curriculum reamins unchanged but with a new name it should be easier to identify which course to apply for.

Specialist maritime training in Sydney

The University of Tasmania has expanded into Sydney with the establishment of a study centre at Sydney’s iconic Darling Harbour. From 2018 we will now be offering the Master of Maritime Engineering and the MBA in Maritime and Logistics Management through this Sydney study centre. Applications will soon be open for international students to select Sydney as a campus option.

CREDIT ASSESSMENT
 
Following our theme from last month where we mentioned provisional credit assessment, this month we would like to talk about applications for credit assessment for completed studies. If you have a client who has completed studies and would like to apply for credit, please ensure they do so at the time of application for their intended degree program. A credit assessment can take several weeks so please encourage your clients to consider applying early.
