Please Vote on February 11th

The Edmonds School District will hold a special election on Tuesday, February 11th. The community will be asked to vote on two funding measures: a capital construction bond and a replacement technology/capital levy. The long-term capital facilities plan aims to spread out the cost to the community over 20 years. The district is committed to maintaining a level tax rate.
Did you know that the capital construction bond provides $600 million for district-wide improvement projects, construction of a new elementary and middle school, replacement of existing schools in need of renovation, and construction of an Innovative Learning Center. Nearly 60 percent of ESD schools are more than 50 years old. The replacement technology/capital levy provides $96 million for technology for student learning and capital facilities improvements. Most funding will go towards purchasing computers for every
student in grades 2-12 and one computer for every two students in Kindergarten and 1st grade as well as network upgrades and teacher training.
Detailed information about the bond and levy measures is available on the district’s website. Please remember to vote on February 11th.
