Study Examines Age in Male-to-Female Transgender Individuals
Male-to-female transgender individuals who undergo gender-affirmation surgery generally fall into two age categories, according to a recent study in Sexual Medicine.
The findings were based on a group of 40 adults who had had their penis and testes removed and had a neovagina created.
The two groups were distinguished by age of gender dysphoria onset:
-
Age 17 or younger
-
Age 18 or older
The groups differed in many ways, particularly in sexual attraction and the likelihood of being sexually active.

Our website's latest research summary focuses on studies of penile girth enhancement strategies, including oral therapies, traction and vacuum devices, injections, soft tissue fillers, graft and flap procedures, subcutaneous penile implants, and corporoplastic phalloplasty.
