Project Recovery Ride: Mental illness- it’s not madness

Do you suffer from anxiety, depression, eating disorders or addictions? You’re not alone.

Depression and anxiety are two of the most common disabilities in the world affecting over 600 million people worldwide. In the UK this means nearly 1 in every 4 adults has faced these demons.

Last year student Finlay was one of those 600 million mental health sufferers. It is for this reason that he established Project Recovery Ride in collaboration with the Mental Health Foundation.

Find out about Finlay's story and how you can support Project Recovery Ride.

New Korean Society for 2017

The Korean society aims to bring Koreans and anyone interested in Korean language and culture together, providing an opportunity to learn and exchange knowledge. It is also a chance to make new friends with shared interests within the university.

With events such as cooking evenings, film nights, guest speakers, and the possibility of Korean language lessons- while not forgetting obligatory Kpop listening- the Korean society will be an ideal place to engage in Korean culture.

If you are interested in being a member of this exciting new society, please email Pia Wild.

Join the Student Insight Panel

As a University, we are setting up a Student Insight Panel - a chance for you to have your say on all sorts of matters affecting the University and student lives. This will involve a series of market research focus groups, approximately two per month during semester-time this academic year. Each focus group will last approximately 1½ hours, with about 8 students from the Student Insight Panel, and who will be paid £10 each time.

These will be an informal discussion with no right or wrong answers – what’s most important is that everyone contributes their honest views and opinions.

Please follow the link to register your interest to be part of the Student Insight Panel.
