We’ve had a great start to 2015 with the recent launch of the new TIMG branding.  As you can see, our new logo, colours and creative characters reflect our people’s personalities – inspiring, intelligent, fun and loveable.  Most of all, our new brand represents our desire to engage with you, to be more inviting and interesting.

While we love what we do; we understand you are focused on running your business and information management may not be your top priority.  We’re here to help you understand its relevance to your business, today and especially as your company grows in the future. Tighter regulations on maintaining data means that your business is accountable for ensuring the security of information. Your systems need to be secure.  TIMG can give you that security and peace of mind, so you don’t need to worry about the risk.

Over the years, we have morphed through various acquisitions into one cohesive organisation - TIMG.  We now have 11 service centres throughout Australia and New Zealand supporting thousands of businesses by providing a holistic information management service.

Throughout this process, our focus has always been on building relationships and customer service.  While other companies may spout the same mantra; we need to live by it, to preserve our Certifications.  We have a vigorous Client Care system and critical Key Performance Index to evaluate our service.  There is nowhere to hide; so we are all doing our part to exceed your expectations.

We look forward to working with you to develop information systems servicing your needs now and in the future.

Are you in breach of the Privacy Act?

Many companies are not aware that they might be breaking the Privacy Act by not securing all paper and data documents.

A Medical Practice breached the Privacy Act by having paper records stored in an unsecured shed.   A recent finding by the Australian Privacy Commissioner, declared that all paper documents needed to be stored securely to ensure that personal data was not at risk. According to the report, the Privacy Act 1988, requires organisations to take all reasonable steps to protect the personal information of their customers.

In his report, the Privacy Commissioner warned organisations about the importance of secure document storage.

Quote: ‘Physical security of hard copy documents is just as important as digital security. There is no point in converting paper records to a secure digital system, and then leaving the paper files unsecured,’ Mr Timothy Pilgrim said.

Will your backups work in the future?

We all know to backup our data, right?  But what happens in a few years when you have upgraded your systems and your legacy backup tapes aren’t working or compatible with modern software?

At TIMG, we’re constantly looking for ways to solve future problems, now.  We can help you plan ahead and avoid loss of critical data on legacy media.

Here’s what we can do to help:
1. Restore backup sets and reformat to suit your new backup system or encrypt to a portable media or cloud services.

2. Reduce costs or loss by having a professional regularly rotate and change your data, and store securely.

3. Or if you have specialist requirements, we can assess the best solution for you based on your future needs.
