Christmas Markets

The South Bank Christmas Markets presented by eatSouthBank will be open from 11-23 December, offering the magic of a traditional Christmas market with a distinctly Brisbane twist.

Visitors will enjoy delicious festive fare from the ready-to-eat stalls at the market's Christmas Pantry. A special Gifting Lane will host popular Christmas gift options including wooden children’s toys, hand-poured candles and jewellery. 

In addition, live carol singers, children’s entertainers and musicians will ensure the festive frivolity of the season is enjoyed by all. The markets are on from 11am-8pm daily, except 17-21 December when they will be open until 9pm.

Other Chistmas events taking place in South Bank include the Christmas Fireworks Spectacular (17 - 21 Dec), Christmas Cinema Series (17 - 23 Dec) and South Bank Christmas Carols (17 - 20 Dec).

Act for Kids Christmas Appeal

This Christmas, Act for Kids wants to stand up to child abuse and neglect is asking for help to bring some Christmas cheer to vulnerable kids in Australia.

The organisation has a goal to raise $200,000 which would provide a full year of funding for an additional 100 kids.

DKM Group is a professional services firm which provides accounting, taxation and other financial services to SME (small to medium enterprises) and individual clients.

What is your role at your organisation?
I am a Principal in the firm’s business advisory division.

What are your key skills and responsibilities?
I am responsible for looking after a diverse range of clients assisting with all of their taxation and business advisory needs.

How many people work at your business?
There are 30 staff all up in our Southbank office.

What is your favourite place in the precinct? 
The Garage and My Sweetopia coffee shops are 2 places I’m at a lot especially after my morning bike ride.

What do you want BSB members to know about you or your business?
I have been with the DKM Group for 16½ years after moving down to Brisbane from Mackay.

What is something people wouldn’t know about your business?
Whilst our client base is largely SME’s, our services cater for individuals right through to large corporations.
