AFA SYSTEMS PROVIDES ENGINEERED PACKAGING SOLUTIONS FOR ALL OF YOUR AUTOMATION NEEDS
Product Feature: HD-CMA - HD Continuous Motion Autoload Cartoner
This application of the HD-CMA - Heavy Duty Cartoner featured the unit end loading tubes of product at over 120 ppm. The system also featured an integrated Rotary AFA Leaflet Feeder to place literature into continuous motion buckets. The system can run tuck or glue style cartons with minimal changeover time. Innovative ramp up style buckets eliminates the need for a cam system on the bucket conveyor.
Product Feature: AF-PLT - Gantry Robot Palletizing System
For this project, the AF-PLT - Palletizing System was designed to accept two lines of product to the system. On one control system, the AF-PLT was designed to handle two independent lines creating an ultra-compact multi-lane palletizer. The palletizer also featured pallet dispensers and roller conveyor to create a fully automatic palletizing station. AFA designed and built gantry robots were used to complete the pick and place operations for the cells. The AF-PLT is driven via an Allen Bradley controls system.

For this application, AFA upgraded an MK-DLT - Integrated Delta 3 Robotic Cartoner to run an additional product SKU. A cylinder squaring system was used to ensure pouches are center picked from the Delta 3 Robot.
