Fantasizing, Solo Sex Behaviors Change During COVID-19 Lockdown
How have COVID-19 lockdowns affected solo sex?
Survey data from a group of young adults in the United Kingdom suggests some trends.
In May 2020, researchers surveyed 565 people between the ages of 18 and 32, asking questions about sexual fantasizing, solitary sexual behaviors, and pornography use during the first COVID-19 lockdown in the UK (March 16 - May 13, 2020).
Just over a third of the group reported more frequent sexual fantasies. Just under third said they participated in at least one solitary sexual behavior more often. And for almost 20%, pornography use increased.
