Friday, Jan. 17 | 1-3 p.m. | Center for Creativity Workshop
Learn basic coding principles, get a taste of Brazilian Carnival culture, eat and have fun!
On Jan. 17, the Center for Creativity will host a Coding Carnival, an all-ages event to share coding principles with all members of the University community.
For this very special event, family members of all ages are also invited to attend!
Participants can create binary-encoded carnival masks, necklaces and bracelets; learn basic principles of machine learning with an analog input-output box; and program a Robot Carnival Parade to dance samba. Refreshments will be served.
RSVPs encouraged: please RSVP here.
This event is organized by Associate Professor of English Annette Vee and Luciana Louro, visiting scholar from São Paulo, Brazil, and sponsored by the University of Pittsburgh’s Pitt Cyber, the English Department, the English Department’s Digital Media Lab, and the English Department’s Composition Program.
