Welcome to Issue 17 of Habitat 2013

Re-enrol NOW for 2014

You need to re-enrol if you plan to continue your studies in your course in 2014.

Who needs to re-enrol?
All students who are currently enrolled, or on leave of absence, and planning to continue their course in 2014, must re-enrol between the re-enrolment dates specified. You still need to re-enrol by the due date even if you want to take leave of absence from your studies in 2014.

You must re-enrol by Friday 13 December 2013

If you haven’t re-enrolled by Friday 13 December 2013, you will incur a $100 late re-enrolment fee and your enrolment in your course may be cancelled.

Unsure of which subjects you plan to take?
You should enrol in subjects that you are likely to complete next year for the time being. You have until Week 2 each standard semester to change subjects, so you can select classes now and change them later if necessary. If you need information on subject selection, check out detailed sample course plans and the Handbook. If you are still unsure, you may book a Student Advice appointment via the Student Advising System.

Think you may fail subjects?
If you feel you may fail a subject – please reenrol as if you are going to pass. If you do fail a subject, you will have the opportunity to select new subjects after the release of Semester 2 results on 6 December 2013.

How do I re-enrol?
Re-enrol through my.unimelb.

Form a multidisciplinary team, develop a project or activity which celebrates our unique Bachelor of Environments Degree and be a winner. It couldn't be easier - after all, who knows the course and its students better than you!

Funding up to $1,000 is available for projects that fulfil the competition criteria. Your project should be something that appeals to students, such as a relevant conference or activity on campus, a support network, an integration program or something that taps into the skills and expertise you gain as a BEnvs student.

Special consideration and exams

Students who apply for special consideration should note that per University policy, mark adjustments are not a possible outcome of Special Consideration. The outcome of a successful special consideration application relating to a final exam would be a 'Special Exam' held during the supplementary exam period which runs between 12-19 December 2013.

As there is no guarantee that the committee will grant you a special exam, students are strongly encouraged to attend their exams as scheduled if they are well enough to do so.

If you are offered a special exam, you must be available to sit the exam during the supplementary exam period.
