We’ll be sending out emails like these over the next few months, with reminders, key info, and program announcements. Make sure you keep an eye on your emails, as it’s the main way we’ll keep you up to date. Accept your offerThank you to those who have accepted their offers already. If you haven’t accepted your offer, please do so as soon as possible. We need you to accept the offer so we can confirm your place on the program. You should have received an offer from us via email. Get ready for some exciting news. We’re thrilled to announce we’ll be welcoming back one of our stars from 2021, Nobel Laureate Professor Brian Schmidt! We look forward to exploring his work in cosmology with you all. We can also confirm that we’ll be once again crossing live to Europe to get a tour of CERN’s Large Hadron Collider 🥳 This was one of the most enjoyed sessions from 2021, and we’re so excited to be returning with you in 2022. Want a taste of the program?Get a taste of the 2022 program by attending our monthly webinar at 7 pm tomorrow night! As a part of our NYSF Connect alumni program, we’re hosting a webinar about vaccines and infectious diseases followed by a Q&A session. We’ll be joined by Associate Professor Asha Bowen (pictured) from the Telethon Kids Institute and will explore topics like future vaccine research challenges and how you can find your feet in medical research. This is a great way to learn about something new and see the kinds of events and activities that we organise exclusively for alumni of our NYSF Year 12 Program – just like you will be at the end of January. The boring but important stuffCOVID-19 has continued to affect us throughout 2021 and is likely to keep us all on our toes in 2022. We’re prepared – it’s part of the reason we’re offering plenty of online options, as well as state-based in-person activities to reduce travel risk. We have a COVID-19 Policy for in-person events that we will follow in the case of an escalating situation in your state or territory. If that happens, don’t worry, you won’t miss out! We’ll be offering exclusive online tours, sessions, and activities throughout the week of in-person visits. We’ll keep you updated as we get closer to the start of the program, and make sure you’re all well-informed. Got a question?Get in touch by emailing us at programs@nysf.edu.au, or by replying to this email. Our staff are working remotely due to COVID-19, so the best way is to contact us by email. |
