Last week, the Scottish Parliament's Cross Party Group for International Development brought together experts on climate change to present evidence on why urgent and bold action is needed from high-emitting countries like Scotland.

As the new Climate Bill goes through parliament, it is vital that the voices of those most threatened by climate change are heard in the debate. Speakers called for the Scottish Government to push further than ever before, by enshrining in law a 2050 net-zero target for carbon emissions.

Fair Trade leaders come to Scotland to launch International Fair Trade Charter

In September 2018, the Scottish Fair Trade Forum united with 250 organisations around the world to launch an International Fair Trade Charter that sets down the fundamental values of Fair Trade and defines a common vision towards achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The Charter was initiated by Fairtrade International and the World Fair Trade Organization, and leading figures from both networks were in Edinburgh to celebrate the launch of the Charter.

It is now possible to officially register your support for the Charter.
