Caution Urged for Patients After Hip Arthroscopy

Some sexual positions are not safe for patients recovering from hip arthroscopy, a recent Journal of Sexual Medicine study reports. 

Out of 12 common male-female sexual positions, only 4 are considered safe for women, and 4 are safe for men. 

Researchers evaluated the positions using virtual 3-dimensional models created from MRI scans of human volunteers. 

The research team was concerned about instability and impingement in a variety of scenarios that would put patients at risk for hip joint strain.
