PRESERVATION OF ST EOM'S PASAQUAN

Kohler Foundation, Inc. of Kohler, Wisconsin, has announced plans to preserve Pasaquan, the colourful art environment created by Eddie Owens Martin, known as St. EOM, located near Buena Vista, Georgia. Upon completion, Pasaquan will be gifted to the Columbus State University Foundation. The university will breathe life into the site with events, programming, educational activities and tours.

JAPANESE ART BRUT AT LAGERHAUS

Until November 9, 2014, Art Brut - Japan - Switzerland features works by Japanese Art Brut artists such as Shinichi Sawada alongside such recent discoveries as Yuki Fujioka’s delicately-cut paper works, Yu Fujita’s drawings and Takuma Uchida’s booklets. On October 17 – 18, 2014, an international conference with speakers from Japan and Europe takes place at Museum im Lagerhaus and the University of Zurich.

ABBAYE D’AUBERIVE

Principally curated by Laurent Danchin, Mycelium - Génie Savant, Génie Brut at the Abbaye d'Auberive features works by self-taught artists alongside trained artists. Showing until September 28, 2014, the exhibition includes an installation by Jim Sanders, shell works by Paul Amar and Youen Durand, obsessive drawings by Joël Lorand, Jean-Michel Chesné and Ghislaine, paintings by Serge Vollin and Franck Lundangi, reliefs and assemblages by Ghyslaine and Sylvain Staëlens, Joaquim Antunes and Jano Pesset, and large polyptychs by Raymond Reynaud.
