UF Announces New Pediatric Neurology Residency Program
The Department of Pediatrics has launched a residency program in pediatric neurology, helping to ease a decades-long nationwide shortage of specialists. The program is the second of its kind in Florida, and one of just 72 nationally.

Dr. Byrne was named the editor of the new Human Gene Therapy Clinical Development Journal, which will will serve as a venue for publishing data relevant to the regulatory review and commercial development of cell and gene therapy products.

He also received a $75,000 grant from Sanofi-aventis U.S. for Post-doctoral Training in Pompe Disease Evaluation and Management.
