UF Announces New Pediatric Neurology Residency Program

The Department of Pediatrics has launched a residency program in pediatric neurology, helping to ease a decades-long nationwide shortage of specialists. The program is the second of its kind in Florida, and one of just 72 nationally.

Congratulations Barry Byrne, M.D.!

  • Dr. Byrne was named the editor of the new Human Gene Therapy Clinical Development Journal, which will will serve as a venue for publishing data relevant to the regulatory review and commercial development of cell and gene therapy products.
  • He also received a $75,000 grant from Sanofi-aventis U.S. for Post-doctoral Training in Pompe Disease Evaluation and Management.
