Meet the candidates events: opportunity to speak with voters

Starting next week, the Commission in partnership with our locally based Assembly Election Officers, are running Meet the Candidates events in each voting region. These will be informal events where community can have a yarn with you about why you're standing for the Assembly.

Confirmed dates and locations are below as well as locations where we are planning events but have not yet finalised the details.

The events provide a casual environment for voters to learn about why they may wish to vote for you. Rather than speeches, these events will be built around the opportunity for community to mingle and speak with you one on one or in small groups. There will also be space for you to hand out flyers and materials.

These events are not compulsory, and you may choose to attend some or all in your region. We will provide additional details next week.

The events will be catered and managed by the Commission. You are responsible for your own travel but may use the $300 available in your Campaign Support package towards transport costs. See the Campaign Support guide for more information.
