Product Feature: MK-CMA - Continuous Motion Autoload Cartoner
AFA Systems has recently designed a cartoner to handle 1" to 5" diameter bearings on the same system. This flexibility ensured the end-user could run all of their SKUs on one line. The system also can run glue and tuck cartons on the same machine. A simple infeed system that involves a servo-driven loader provides stable and consistent performance. An Allen Bradley Control System with servo motors and CompactLogix PLC ensures efficient trouble-shooting as well as smooth operation.
New Product Development: CS-TOP - Vertical Carton Top Sealer
AFA Systems has updated the design of its innovative CS-TOP - Vertical Carton Top Sealer. The system can now feature all-servo change over which results in under 2-minute changeovers. This feature adds tremendous value to the end-user as a skilled technician is not required to complete changeovers. All changeover points are actuated via servo drives allowing for precise positioning. Furthermore, the CS-TOP can now run over 50 cartons per minute and features a robust frame for 24/7 operation.
New Product Development: MK-SML - Servo Carton Erector and Bottom Sealer
AFA has modified its existing MK-SML system to run as a carton erector and bottom sealer. This configuration allows the top of the carton to be open when discharged from the system. With this, end users can have a host of options available, including manually packing the carton, feeding the carton into a filling system, or providing a solution to top load the carton. The MK-SML can run cartons consistently at 150 cpm. The system can also handle cartons as small as 1" x 1" x 3" (L x W x D). The small footprint MK-SML features an Allen Bradley CompactLogix PLC with PanelView 700 HMI and servo controls.
