Help find our penguins

Penguins and Snapchat Glasses

We had great fun hiding our little penguins around city campus on Monday for the Open Day, however, not all of them made it home. If you happen to find any on campus, please return them to G12 in the Tower Building or email Internal Comms, so we can use them again at the next Open Day.

Library & Learning Centre

Library Gates

From Friday 1 September, there will be a new automatic gate entry system in the Main Library, to improve security in the building and reduce bottlenecks at the entrance. There will no longer be manual checks of ID cards.

You will need to scan your University ID card at the gates to enter and exit the building.

What you need to know:

  • If your card is already activated for other entry systems around the University, it will automatically be activated for the library gates.
  • If you don’t have any access privileges set up on your card, staff at the Library Reception Desk will activate it for you. This will only need to be done once.

For any questions please contact the Library & Learning Centre.

Student news: An Oriental Summer

This summer over 100 students from China travelled the 4,700 miles to come to Dundee for a fortnight… and 30 students from Dundee did the same trip but in reverse.

Chinese students from five different universities came to Dundee this summer to take part in our annual summer school. We gave them the chance to get a taster of what it’s like to be a student at Dundee. Their activities were based within the School of Science & Engineering, but they also got to sample the School of Medicine and Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art & Design. Read the story.
