Event Highlight - Hosanna in the Highest

This event will be telecast via Zoom on Saturday 27th March, the day before Palm Sunday at 5:00pm Adelaide / 8.30am Jerusalem time. The Palestine Israel Ecumenical Network in Australia and Sabeel Ecumenical Liberation Theology Centre in Jerusalem are organising a joint Ecumenical service.

Prayer Points

This week we pray for:

  • For all people and communities impacted by the flooding across New South Wales and Queensland
  • Women who have experienced sexual violence and harassment
  • The national roll-out of the vaccine program and especially for the people of Papua New Guinea and frontline workers responding to the surging number of COVID-19 cases in that country.

Reflection of the week

As the end of Lent draws near there are indeed many challenges to distract us this season. The exhaustion of COVID-19; the uncertainty of the national vaccine roll-out; the treatment of women and girls and the impacts of on-going gender-based violence; and new waves of COVID-19 cases in Papua New Guinea.
