2018 has been a busy year so far and we are pleased to share some of our latest news with you focusing on our exciting modular housing project along with planning news, awards, press and events.

Modern Modular

Cousins & Cousins has joined forces with innovative modular building company Campus360 to design and create modern affordable modular projects across a variety of sectors and sites. Fabricated off-site with simple and practical solutions for their implementation, our flexible modular system can be used in a variety of block configurations and orientations.

Kenwood Lee House Shortlisted and in the Press 

Our recently completed residential project Kenwood Lee House in Highgate has been shortlisted for The Sunday Times’ British Homes Awards 2018 in the Large House of the Year category.  The Sunday Times’ British Homes Awards is the only award that recognises every aspect of house building; from one-off houses to major developments, interiors to landscaping, individual extensions to placemaking on a grand scale.

Kenwood Lee House has also been recently featured in the Architects’ Journal ‘First Look’ and in Prime Resi. 

Planning Permission Granted in Leatherhead

Planning permission has been granted to divide a single dwelling in the Leatherhead Conservation Area into two separate homes. Our proposal comprises of the re-construction of two high quality, modern rear extensions which aims to strike a balance between contemporary design and a sympathetic use of local materials.

Re-defining the Manor House 

Cousins & Cousins has been appointed to develop a 1.7 hectare site within the Green Belt and conservation area in Banstead, Surrey. The project comprises the conversion of a Grade II* listed 17th Century Manor house in to apartments and the delivery of a number of new-build residential units within the adjacent walled garden.

Latest On-Site News

Some of the team are pictured here on-site at our Holland Park House project where we are progressing with the construction of a 14,000 sqft family home. The scheme rationalises the existing spaces of the mid 19th century detached house and creates a 5,000 sqft garden basement . This photo is taken beneath the concrete opening of a 3.5m acryliwater feature, leading to the garden basement and pavilion beyond.

Our Director Ben recently spoke at Grand Designs Live in London as part of a panel of industry experts for a dynamic Q&A session exploring pertinent issues relating to self-build projects.

Brick Awards 2018

Our Director Jelena is judging at the 42nd Annual Brick Awards which celebrate the most exciting examples of clay brick architecture in the UK and across the world.

Cousins & Cousins’ work has recently been featured in a variety of publications including AJ, Enki Magazine, Ideal Home, Grand Designs Magazine and Renovate.

Cousins & Cousins is an award winning London based practice working across the residential, commercial, mixed use, public art and cultural sectors. Our residential projects span one-off houses in the prime and super prime sectors as well as several multi-unit schemes.

Working with developers, investors, and private end-users, our process is iterative and collaborative through all project stages from site appraisal, project completion, and post completion evaluation.
