The definition of...
Euggghhhh
Enthusiastic comment when your drive misses its target by a full metre, jumps the ditch, clears the banks and ends up in the members' carpark.

Ryman Healthcare
1-5 Year Triples
Date: 15-16 MayThe 1-5 Year disciplines are proving to be popular events amongst our club members. 38 teams competed in the 2021 Ryman Healthcare 1-5 Year Triples played at Bridge Park Bowls and Blockhouse Bay Bowls over the weekend. That's an increase of 37% from the number of teams who entered last year. We should commend Howick Bowling Club - they've played a part in the increase in
team numbers.
Howick entered seven teams, four of which progressed to the quarter-finals and one team making it all the way to the finals. A fabulous effort Howick, keep on participating! Finals will be played at Remuera Bowls on 29 May when David Weir, Greg Dowdell & Jason Burton from Howick meet John Crow, Malcolm King & Kim Tilly from Blockhouse Bay.
Date: 15-16 MayAuckland Bowling Club had greens full of Triples players as they hosted and were the headquarters last weekend. Sunday afternoon was sunny and warm as the Men's and Women's finals got underway - New Lynn was matched against St Heliers in the Women's, Howick competing against Royal Oak in the Men's. The Women's final was a close-fought encounter, St Heliers edging in front to
lead for most of the match. New Lynn put up resistance by gaining a three on the 17th end, taking the score to 17-all going into the last end. Carol Berry produced a great bowl which held to take the win, 18-17. Well done and congratulations to New Lynn! At the start, Howick and Royal Oak were close - although it was Royal Oak who continued to apply the pressure. Royal Oak delivered consistent and accurate bowls which gave the team a handy lead right through to the finish, winning 20-10. Congratulations Royal Oak, it was a great win and another title for the club!
Women's Triples: Winners - Karen Kuzimski, Carol Berry & Karen Spells from New Lynn with runners-up Amy Cheung, Pauline Campbell & Titia Ryder from St Heliers. Men's Triples: Winners - Mike Galloway, Martin Dixon & Gavin Brown from Royal Oak with runners-up Paul Hickey, Kevin Beasley & Bruce Hickman from Howick.
'Gold star' congrats...We'd like to give a 'gold star' shout-out to Gavin Brown from Royal Oak for winning his 15th centre title! Congratulations and well done Gavin on such a superb achievement.
