Hopefully you're having a chance to relax and unwind after semester one and enjoying the various shades of grey that the sky has on display.

As well as having a rest from study, the break is a great opportunity to take a look through the clubs and sports associations offered. Why not take the chance to make new connections with people through a common interest?

What does the Uni offer outside of study?

Take advantage of the mid-year orientation week activities happening on campus! From 22 - 26 July, come along and take a look at what the Uni can offer outside of study, and on Friday, take a trip to Victor Harbour or a tour around the Botanical Gardens.

    Please note that the footbridge crossing the Torrens river near Victoria Drive has been temporarily closed.
    Along with this, some tram stops will be temporarily closed from 7 - 23 July, including stops near the University. Further information.

    Tax Help is a free confidential service to assist students on low incomes (around $60 000 or less) with simple tax affairs to complete tax returns online.
    Make sure you have a myGov account, then contact Student Care to confirm your eligibility and to make an appointment.
  • Scholarship Opportunities closing soon! 
    There are approximately 100 Fulbright Scholarships on offer nationally this year with research opportunities across all academic levels and disciplines. The Fulbright Future Scholarship covers full visiting researcher fees at any U.S. institution, travel and living costs. More Information, webinar or email.

Walk a Mile in my Boots
7:30 am 9 August - Hutt St Centre 
Support Adelaide's homeless and join Walk a Mile in my Boots. Donations go towards a welcoming space for the homeless to access essential services including meals and showers. Register online or contact Tania Johnson and join the University of Adelaide team on the day - you'll receive a free KeepCup and, for new registrants, a branded beanie.

 

Careers & employment

The Adelaide University Union advertises part time work for current students on the paid vacancies page from Employment Services.

Career Services are free for all students. CareerHub features a jobs board of opportunities related to your studies including paid work experience and graduate roles. The Careers team also run employer events and workshops to increase employability, build resumes, improve your interview skills and more.
