Click here ![]() Today is #GivingTuesdayOn this global day of giving back, we are focusing on the Neurorehabilitation Unit at The National Hospital This year, understandably, some of our appeals haven't had the level of support that they normally would. So today we're asking you to give a helping hand to our Neurorehabilitation Unit Appeal. The Neurorehabilitation Unit (NRU) provides specialist rehab for people over the age of 16 with the most severe life-changing brain and spinal cord disorders. The money raised will help the redevelopment and refurbishment of the unit's dayroom to boost accessibility and comfort. Dr Val Stevenson, Neurologist & Clinical Director of Rehabilitation at The National Hospital (above), tells us above why this project is just so crucial for the wellbeing of patients and staff. Former patient Emily Fletcher, who stayed on the unit after surgery to remove a mass in her brain, shares how the unit was so vital to her recovery:
