Former UK Ambassador Frances Guy becomes new CEO
We are excited to announce that Frances Guy begins her tenure as CEO of Scotland’s International Development Alliance.
Frances joins the Alliance after a long career in diplomacy and international development, focussing most recently on promoting gender equality across the work of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in the Arab States region.
FOCUS ON CLIMATE
We need your photos and short films!
Ahead of the public launch of Facing the Crisis in autumn, we are looking for more photos and short films to showcase in our innovative new digital exhibition. You don't have to be a professional photographer or filmographer, All that’s important is that your photo or short film tells a story of climate impacts or responses across the world.
Our logic is simple: the more visual stories we can share, the stronger our collective message on climate justice can be ahead of COP26.
We've included an easy-to-use online submission form on the site, so everyone has the chance to be part of this exciting exhibition. So what are you waiting for?!

HAITI EARTHQUAKE
Mercy Corps mobilises response
Alliance member, Mercy Corps, has been working quickly to understand the extent of damage and emerging needs following the magnitude 7.2 earthquake that struck Haiti on Saturday 14 August.
Anissa Toscano, Mercy Corps Vice President, outlines the situation and their response.

We're excited to announce another additon to our team... Francis Rodgers is our new Membership Engagement and Development Manager.
Francis joined the team last month having spent the previous six years at the Scottish Council for Development and Industry (SCDI) where he was Head of Membership.

Facing the Crisis, our new digital exhibition, explores the impacts of the climate crisis on people and communities across the world.
At this interactive launch event, we'll welcome VIP speakers, but also delve into the exhibition themes through discussion sessions with people in the photos and those behind the camera.
