STEAM Day - Save the Date - Sat 19 Nov

Designed for students in Years 11 - 12, STEAM Day brings together bright minds to consider how Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics (STEAM) can be combined to solve some of the greatest issues we face in the future.

 

BrisScience - Perfect for Students - Throughout 2018 Join us for free public seminars on science and technology. BrisScience discusses the latest research and insights on a range of topics from the most abstract theories to the devices we use in our daily lives. Future Experiences in Agriculture, Science and Technology - register now Students in Years 10-12 are invited to apply for the FEAST residential camp, being held at the UQ Gatton campus from Sun 1 July - Thurs 5 July 2018. Students will experience hands-on workshops, exciting seminars and have the opportunity to immerse themselves in Agricultural, Scientific and Technological career options. Discover more here

Earth and Environment Day - 20 July 2018
This is a day for year 10-12 students to experience the applications and relevance of geography, planning, earth sciences and environmental management, and find out how studying these subjects can lead to a career with real world impact. Find out more here.

Experience Science - Register Now Experience Science is a free event, providing students in Years 10-12 the opportunity to discover what studying Science is like at UQ. With programs occurring across Fri 12-Thurs 19 July, this event is facilitated by experts from UQ and industry, and provides hands-on, interactive Science workshops. Discover more here.

Economics Schools Day at UQ - register now. The annual Queensland Economics Teachers' Association Schools Day will be held at UQ St Lucia on Thurs 19 July 2018. Economics Schools Day gives Year 11-12 students a taste of life as a UQ Economics student. Students will learn from a range of leading lecturers and get an on-campus experience, including a BBQ lunch.  Interested schools should register through the QETA website.

Pharmacy Experience Day - save the date Pharmacy Experience Day is an annual UQ showcase which invites students to discover where a Bachelor of Pharmacy can take them. Throughout the day guests will take part in a range of hands-on laboratory activities, meet and quiz current students, and participate on a guided tour through the world class facilities. All members of the public are invited to attend the Pharmacy Experience Day being held on Sun 18 Aug 2019. Discover more here.

Book a Campus shuttle tour and see the highlights of one of Australia’s most beautiful campuses on this hour-long tour, departing Mon, Wed and Fri at 10am.

My Melbourne Future - The University of Melbourne will be hosting its annual course information series ‘My Melbourne Future’, which includes an in-depth look into our STEM related courses and is a great way to see how you can use your degree to secure your dream career for the future. The Information Evenings will be held this year during June from 6pm-8pm, focusing on the following STEM related studies:

  • My Future In IT – Tuesday 4 June
  • My future in Science – Wednesday 5 June
  • My Future in Design – Wednesday 12 June
  • My Future in Agriculture and Veterinary Sciences – Thursday 13 June
  • My Future in Biomedicine – Thursday 20 June
  • My Future in Engineering – Tuesday 25 June

New Data Science degrees
We are excited to be bringing the new Bachelor of Applied Data Science, and the Bachelor of Applied Data Science Advanced (Honours) to Monash University. Research and analysis with big datasets is making a positive impact on our daily lives across a very wide range of disciplines.
Our new Applied Data Science programs, available from 2020, will deal with the challenges that large bodies of data present to research, industries, and society. For more information, click here.
