Did You Know?

Did you know a new study by Kristina Mitchell and Jonathan Martin suggests high gender bias in student evaluations? According to the study "Many universities use student evaluations of teachers (SETs) as part of consideration for tenure, compensation, and other employment decisions. However, in doing so, they may be engaging in discriminatory practices against female academics." The study also reveals an intriguing link between race, gender and evaluation scores, all of which you can read about by clicking the button below. Now you know.

Multifactor Authentication

All faculty and staff are required to enroll in and use the Multi-factor Authentication (MFA) service. Effective Thursday April 5, 2018, when you log into myUCF you will be prompted to authenticate through this service in addition to entering your NID and NID password.

Why is this important for me?

Authentication will be required to access myUCF features such as direct deposit, viewing your w2, class rosters, grades, awards and promotion and tenure.

Where can I find help?
Copy and paste the following URL into your web browser for more information: http://infosec.ucf.edu/security/multi-factor-authentication/

You can also contact the UCF IT Support Center at servicedesk@ucf.edu or by calling 407-823-5117.
