While this decision suggests that penalties may be reduced for small business unable to pay, these penalties will still be considerably higher than in the past. Fundamentals of Geomechanics, Pore-Pressure Prediction, and the State of Stress from boreholesGNS Science has finalised the dates for a short course by Mark Tingay from the Australian School of Petroleum at the University of Adelaide. Course dates are 6 - 8 November 2017, at GNS in Lower Hutt. The course will cover: Day 1: Fundamentals of Overpressure and Pore Pressure Prediction
Day 2: Fundamentals of Petroleum Geomechanics
Day 3: Focus on the state of stress in the crust as measured by boreholes and other methods, and more case studies Course cost is $1000 per person and includes course materials, lunch, and refreshments throughout the day.
