The first day of April – a time of pranks, hoaxes and japes. It's also the day companies get involved on social, in the hope they can get some great PR and humanise their brand. It's a risky business. Something too obviously fake just falls flat. Too subtle and it could be taken as genuine news (and also fall flat).
