Pagewood and Waverley remember Dimos Mastoris
Pagewood Botany FC and Waverley Old Boys FC competed for the Dimos Mastoris Shield on Saturday, a tradition that dates back to 2005 when Mr. Mastoris died playing football, suffering a heart attack.
Mr. Mastoris, who was a Waverley College Old Boy, played for Pagewood Botany O35s. He collapsed on the field during a match between Pagewood Botany and Waverley Old Boys.
“It was a bit ironic at the time because he went to Waverley [College] as a schoolboy. He knew a lot of the guys we were playing against and he played for Pagewood,” teammate Sean Fenton said.

Farewell Andrew Fathers
We say farewell to Andrew Fathers, our Competitions Manager, later this month. Andrew will be moving to Football NSW and we wish him all the very best for the future.
Andrew will still be refereeing with us throughout the season so you may spot him around the grounds on a weekend!

Waratah Cup
In last month's Offside, we had Maroubra United, Waverley Old Boys and Dunbar Rovers through to the second round.
Round 2
Waverley Old Boys bowed out 3-2 whilst Maroubra United and Dunbar Rovers had convincing wins; 6-1 and 3-0 respectively.
Round 3
Facing State League sides, Maroubra United defeated Camden Tigers 4-2 whilst Dunbar Rovers beat Balmain Tigers 3-1.
Round 4
Round 4 is scheduled for Wednesday, 8 May 2013. Dunbar Rovers face Northern Tigers whilst Maroubra United have the tough task of visiting NSW Premier League side, APIA Leichhardt Tigers.

State Cup 2013 Round One
The 2013 Football Football NSW State, Robertson and Bill Cullinan Cups are kicking off with Round One on Sunday, 5 May 2013.
There are a total of 23 ESFA teams from 13 different Clubs who have entered this year’s competition. Nearly half of the teams have a bye for the first round, leaving 12 teams with fixtures this Sunday.

Metro East State Titles trial information
Trials for the July 2013 FNSW State Titles will be held during May.
The Football NSW State Titles are conducted annually by Community Football for boys Grades 11-15 and girls Grades 12-14-16 and are an essential part of the recognised pathway for State team selection.
The Metro East State Titles Teams are open to all players from Youth League, Metropolitan Representative League, Metropolitan Association club teams that reside in the following Association areas: Canterbury, Eastern Suburbs and St George.
