Marshall University PsyD Virtual Open House

We will be reviewing the PsyD program classes and requirements, admission process, and answer questions. Full-time Research Assistant, Butler Hospital's Psychosocial Research Program
Butler Hospital's Psychosocial Research Program is hiring a full-time research assistant. The role will involve time on 3 projects, including a qualitative study interviewing patients with opioid use disorder, a clinical trial for a new suicide prevention intervention for adults with mental health disorders, and a suicide prevention intervention for youth with first episode psychosis. The role also includes additional research on transitions of care, suicide prevention, and digital health interventions. This is an in-person position.
Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in psychology, neuroscience, public health, or a related field by the position's start. This role is ideal for those aiming for graduate or medical school, with opportunities to publish and present at conferences. Previous research assistants with this lab have successfully gained acceptance into top doctoral programs after this position.
Job Description
Brown University-affiliated researchers working at Butler Hospital are seeking to hire a research assistant for multiple grant-funded projects. Responsibilities include recruiting and tracking research participants, conducting qualitative interviews with patients and clinicians, screening electronic medical records, managing databases, preparing reports, and conducting research assessments with psychiatric patients. Additional duties include working with a multidisciplinary team conducting research in a psychiatric hospital setting. Skills using Microsoft Office, SPSS, and REDCap a plus.
Required Education
Bachelor’s degree in psychology or related field required. Experience with psychology research and/or working with psychiatric patients desirable.

Research Coordinator, University of Virginia
The Brains, Emotions, and Adolescent Relationships (BEAR) Lab at the University of Virginia,under the direction of Stefanie Sequeira, Ph.D., in collaboration with the Program for Anxiety, Cognition and Treatment (PACT) Lab, under the direction of Bethany Teachman, Ph.D, seeks applicants for a full-time Research Coordinator.
The team investigates social and cognitive processes that contribute to the development and maintenance of anxiety and related disorders, and we use mobile assessment methods and digital interventions to reduce anxious thinking and increase access to mental health services. The position will involve coordination of lab- and mobile-based data collections with youth, with a focus on using mixed methods and youth co-design processes to develop and test a new digital intervention to help anxious and depressed youth engage on social media in healthier ways.
The Research Coordinator will also have opportunities to co-author scientific papers and conduct independent research. This is an excellent position for a college graduate who is interested in gaining additional research experience before going on to graduate study in psychology or a related field.

AmeriCorps Service Year Opportunity
My name is Darean Talmadge and I am reaching out to ask you to share an AmeriCorps service year opportunity with your students, caring for infants and children up to age six who are at risk for abuse and neglect in Houston, TX. Hands of Hope AmeriCorps Members will serve these vulnerable children throughout a 12-month commitment, living in a private, gated community (at no cost) and receiving a living allowance.
Hands of Hope AmeriCorps Members will work collaboratively with other AmeriCorps Members in the home to ensure that children’s physical, emotional, and mental needs are met. While the commitment to our organization is only one year, the impact AmeriCorps Members have on the children in their care is lifelong. In turn, the children’s strength, resilience, and love will also make a lifelong impact on them.
