A record-breaking show − opens today

We have had an incredible response to our annual fundraising art exhibition, A Letter in Mind − and this year it has broken all previous records with more than 270 wonderful envelopes being exhibited.

We've had some very well-known names submit artworks, including Grayson Perry, Antony Gormley, Tom Hammick, Lewis Chamberlain, Catherine Goodman, Gill Rocca, Natasha Kidd, Tim Hopgood and Polly Dunbar, among many others.

The show officially opens today − so please come down and see us at gallery@oxo on London's Southbank from 11am-6pm until Sunday 9 October. All pieces are exhibited anonymously and cost £85 each.

If you can't make it along to Oxo Tower Wharf, you can still grab a masterpiece by buying from our online gallery. Don't miss out, get online now!

Want to run the London Marathon?

If you are looking for a challenge for next year, there is nothing better than the ultimate run, The London Marathon. We are looking for inspired, enthusiastic and motivated runners to take part and raise money for The National Brain Appeal. Fill in the application form no later than 4 November and we'll get back to you. If you are selected, you can then tick that challenge off your bucket list!

A boost for Rare Dementia Support

Last month, our Rare Dementia Support fund was fortunate enough to benefit from a charity gala performance by David Baddiel. Jill Walton, nurse coordinator for the service, came along to enjoy the show and met David afterwards to thank him for his amazing support (above).

Jill is also taking on a challenge to raise more money for the fund by running the Royal Parks Half Marathon this Sunday. We would love to see Jill smash her target of £5,000 − so please give whatever you can to encourage her for the big day. We'll be cheering on all of our 24 #TeamBrainAppeal runners this Sunday. Look out for us at the 9 mile mark − we'll be making lots of noise for you!

Get your order in!

Our Christmas cards have now arrived in the office and are already flying out of the doors. We have added new designs to the range and this cute penguin card is proving very popular already!

So put your order in before your favourites are sold out − all the profits we make from Christmas card sales go back to Queen Square.

Pull on those PJs

It's nearly here − our fortnight of fun in pyjamas kicks off from 17-31 October, and we can't wait to see what you'll be doing!

Remember, it's really simple:

Come up with your event idea − and make it fun!
    Wear a onesie/pyjamas/our nightcap
Raise lots of money in donations
Remember to send it in to us!

Register today for your free Pyjama Party pack (with nightcap!) and start planning your event. You can hold your fundraiser at any time, but we are having a big Pyjama Day on 21 October so this is always a great day to throw your event. All proceeds from Pyjama Party help us to raise funds for the one in six people in the UK who are affected by a neurological condition, so wear your pyjamas with pride!
