EndNote Basics This hands-on session presented by University Library staff is designed to give you the essential skills to use EndNote for your research and writing. Through the workshop you will: learn how to build an EndNote library manually or by direct export from databases; have an introduction to managing their library; learn how to use Cite While You Write to insert citations into a Word document and edit those citations. NewsGrow Your Career Week (5-9 August 2019) Grow Your Career Week 2019 is designed to help you build career confidence, increase employability and learn from leading experts about topics that will grow your career. With over 20 sessions, 40 speakers, daily prizes and quick advice - there will be something for everyone! No matter what you are studying, all events and sessions are free for current students to attend. Places are limited in each session, so register online via CareerHub. New CaRST Online Calendar Feature A new feature in CaRST Online means that it’s now easier to keep track of your CaRST event bookings. Your calendar of CaRST event bookings can now be integrated with your preferred calendar tool, including Outlook and Google Calendar. This requires a one-time set up, after which, all CaRST events you book into will be automatically added to the calendar. To set up the calendar integration, login to CaRST Online and navigate to Train & Develop -> Calendar Settings -> Set up calendar sharing and follow the instructions. The Industry Engaged PhD (IEP) Program and Scholarship IEP scholarships are now available to support eligible domestic and international students who undertake an industry placement. The University of Adelaide’s Industry Engaged PhD (IEP) program involves participation in an industry placement of 1-3 months (FTE) in duration, together with the completion of a number of Career and Research Skills Training (CaRST) and other professional development activities. Completion of the IEP, including the compulsory CaRST credit courses, will be reflected as a statement on the academic transcript.
